Everything related to financial aid is on the website for the Office of Financial Aid, not the law school. It looks like some of the links are broken and old but slowly getting fixed. I don't think they care too much since its not really their department. You have to go to ofa.fsu.edu and look up everything related to grad school. Law does not have its own financial aid office, FSU handles everything for them as well as the med school and undergrad. However, College of Law-specific scholarships are handled by the Student Affairs office in the College of Law, and then disbursed through the regular FA office. Hope that helps!
psh so after my UF "hold" (elitist bastards...) I called Stetson asking about scholarships (I have a 162, their average is 155ish) and they basically said if I didn't have one by now, its not too likely. Then I look on LSN and someone with a 160 and a slightly better gpa got one, someone with a similar LSAT score and low gpa got one... what gives Stetson? I feel so rejected today after being spoiled by acceptances and scholarships at Pacific and FLCoastal
Called Florida and turns out I'm on hold... I thought I'd get right in. Well, FSU was my first choice anyway and they're telling me I'm one of their better applicants so... I like them more because they're catering to my ego and they didn't make me wait
I'm at FSU. Someone told me they were mailing acceptances last Friday, but I'd have it by now if that were true. UF's the last school I'm waiting on, and at this point its all about money. My first choice is FSU, but I have to wait and see where I'll have the least amount of debt before I go ahead and rent a house
At the FSU Admit Day we got FSU Law Shirts (in the correct size!), one of those stainless steel coffee thermos dealies with FSU Law on it, the requisite shiny folder with info in it (2 folders, if you picked up the finaid black one). I must say, I was very excited about the t-shirt, and I wore it all weekend.
I also got shiny folders from UPacific and Stetson. Thats it.

You can't fix your gpa at this point, but you can definitely work on the LSAT, and then in your apps you can say why your gpa is only a 3.19 (sick grandma? you were sick?) and explain the jump. I personally got a 155 the first time (those logic games made me freak and i couldnt think, i had to christmas-tree it) and then, with ONLY the lsac lsat book, i practiced for a month and brought my score up to a 162. I have a friend who took a kaplan course and got a 154 all three times (yes, 3!) that he took it, so I'm kind of... against spending $1000+ on a course that doesnt seem to help.

Florida State. I did my undergrad here and its in the capital so i figure jobs during school are a-plenty. Just waiting for the final financial awards but its like 95% certain. I don't think even a full ride to UF or Stetson could pull me away!
PS - any other FSU kids, I need a female to share a 3/1 house with me and my roommate and our fluffy little lap dogs.
