I got a call from Sophia in the admissions office today. Apparently, they may admit 5 people on Wednesday (I was one of the 5), and so they will be possibly admitting a few more people in 2 days...

did she say that they will admit you? just wondering.

My letter online didn't change.  Do I win a price?  Like, say, a rejection letter in the mail?

i believe they do everything online. maybe you'll be getting a congratulatory call today.

fwiw, i spoke to someone at NU admissions, and she said decisions for students on hold were coming out mid-may. asked to elaborate, and she said very soon. that's it. and good luck

I also read on TLS that someone received an email acceptance. Maybe I'll look for that thread.

Don't think so, and I would assume it's better to be on hold, b/c you'll likely get a final decision sooner. If you're interested in NU, let them know in a letter as soon as you can.
Did you get held today?

I don't want to try to say that you're in or out, but it seems the later in the week you go decision, the more likely it is that you're w/l'ed or rejected. I had gone decision on a wednesday too a couple of weeks ago, and was w/l'ed.

Good luck though! I hope you get better news than I.

I got the 20K + housing too. Do you think they'd extend the stipend to those with pets? Also, sent to my current address thought it's the same as my permanent.
