Current Law Students / Re: 3.0 at a tier 4

Top 25% at a T4 will be enough to get you into a number of T2 schools.  You definitely do not need to be Top 5% at a T4 to get into T2 schools...

If they order a drink and you drink, order one.  If they order a drink and you don't drink, don't order one.  If they don't order a drink and you drink, don't order one.  If they don't order a drink and you don't drink, don't order one.

Can you state the city these firms are located in?  I think that would make a difference as far as the need for quality of life is concerned.

How does one end up in the Top 10% of his class, when it appears from the schools website that the highest ranking percentage is Top 1-15%?

I know I said I was done commenting and seriously, I'm not here to squabble anymore.  I agree that people with a 2.5GPA and 145 on the LSAT should'nt make it into law school.  There is no doubt about that.  But by suggesting that T3's and T4's be shut down, then someone like me who had a 3.6 GPA, graduated magna cum and only managed a 152 on the LSAT because I couldnt afford to take a prep class, would be shut out of law school.

Okay, well maybe not completely shut out.  I got into 1 or 2 T2's but they were so far out in the mid-west that I really had no interest in attending.  But back to the subject, there are some intelligent people who attend T3's and T4's for whatever reason and simply shutting them down would do nothing to correct the situation.

1LMAN/2LMAN, I know you read my posts.  Did I actually come out and truly defend the school?

I believe that I agreed with all of the comments regarding the job prospects and even talked about the low average salary for graduates from UD.  The only comments that I made in favor of the school were regarding the facility and the area surrounding UD.  Do you consider my comment that its not half bad as one that vigourously defends Dayton? I doubt it.

With that said, however, I'm going to quit responding to this thread.  I doubt that you and I will be able to reach any sort of agreement regarding the medical and legal fields.  We can simply agree to disagree.

No one is freaking out on your personally.  Some innocent person makes a thread looking for information regarding UD, minus the general T4 criticism.  And here you are doing what, criticizing T4's in general, BRAVO!

I don't get people on this board.  If you can't answer the question that the poster asks, why bother responding at all?

No hope at a Top 20 school?  Your kidding me right?  Should I go pull out the folder of tranfer acceptances and scan some in for your viewing pleasure?  Seriously, I'm sure if you asked around here you would see that more than a handful of T4's were able to tranfer into the Top 20.

Or, just go take a look at the transferapps group on Yahoo.

Aww, no response to the study?

What T3 do I attend?  HAHA!  See, my 4.0 at Dayton my first year allowed me to move up the chain.  I wonder if I was offered a job at one of the BIGLAW firms that rejected you?  Isn't it crazy how the system works?  I couldn't get into a T1 in the first place but after only 1 year of grades and a move up the ladder, I probably received more offers than you, someone who was able to get into a T1 off the bat.

Again with your analogies.  Seriously, can you please think before you speak.
