Cicero,

Thanks for all of the helpful information.  That really gives me a better idea of what to expect.  I'm looking forward to it.

Thanks Bigs 5068 and Cicero.  I received an email yesterday that explained that part of the orientation will be online.  It starts on the 12th of this month.

Cicero,  if you don't mind, I have a couple of questions.  How hard is it to get a job after your first year?  Are there many paying jobs?  Also, how does the job market seem to be for recent FCSL graduates?  I've heard that it is pretty bad, but this may be true nowadays for many law schools.  Thanks.

Yes,  I will also be attending FCSL in August.  Has anyone heard any details about orientation yet?

I just got a letter from Samford stating that my application has been placed on temporary hold and that it would be reviewed again at a later date.  It also stated that this is not the same as being waitlisted.  Does anyone know what this means?  What is the difference between this and being waitlisted?  Are my chances better or worse since I have been placed on hold and not waitlisted or is there any way to guess?

I really would appreciate any info.  This has been bugging me for the last few days and I can't seem to find much information about the "hold" status.  Thank you.

Thanks.  I'll just wait to receive the copy of the actual form I used and see if there are any errors.  Thank you for your help.

Studying for the LSAT / Re: Sept. '09 LSAT DONE...FIRST POST!

I was very proud of myself on the second section of the test, which was a games section.  I had another games in the fourth section that I thought was harder, so I guess that was the real one!  I think it was the one about the airlines.  Oh well, maybe I got lucky!

Studying for the LSAT / How long does hand scoring take?
« on: September 26, 2009, 11:50:08 AM »
Just got back from the test center.  I have to say that I thought the RC section was harder than usual.  I changed a few of my answers and left some eraser marks on the paper.  Are the chances very slim of the Scanner machine grading those wrong?  If I decide to get it hand scored, how long does that usually take?  Thank you for any advice.

Law School Admissions / Better to apply now before retaking LSAT?
« on: September 02, 2009, 09:56:47 PM »
I'm just wondering if it may be better to apply now to a school that is accepting applications Sep.1.  I'm retaking the LSAT Sep. 26.  If my previous LSAT score is not that great, would I be better to just wait and apply in mid October with my new score (assuming it will be a little better) or apply now and notify the school that I will be retaking the LSAT.  Sorry, a little confused about this whole process!  Thanks for any help.

Law School Admissions / Include every school attended in resume?
« on: August 24, 2009, 03:28:07 PM »
Should I include every college attended in my resume or just the degree granting college?  One reason that I ask is that I have been to two other colleges (several years ago) and did very poorly, but have done great at the one I will be graduating from in May.  I know the schools will be listed on my LSDAS report, but I'm wondering if I should just try to draw as little attention to them as I can by leaving them off of my resume.  I would appreciate any of your thoughts.  Thank you.
