Transferring / Re: Thrown to the wolves

I'll never understand why some think transfers are unworthy, I think a years worth of school and grades is more telling than a 2 hour test  ???

A TWO hour test?  I have a quick tip that may help you improve your LSAT score...

I wasn't going to apply to Penn State until I toured the campus while on vacation in Philly.  I was really impressed.

I love it how all the "athletes" whine about how much time spent "training" affected their GPA, like no other students have ever done anything outside of class except study.  Ever heard of Bill Bradley?

"...You see, when my father opened this store 30 years ago, he cared about only one thing: making a great cup of coffee. Sure, we may take a little longer to brew a cup, and we may not call it fancy names...I guess we just care a little more. And that's why Tweek Coffee is still home brewed, from the finest beans we can muster. Yes, Tweek Coffee is a simpler coffee, and a simpler America."

So what is the answer?  The demand for lawyers is not as high as the supply of grads coming out of law schools.  And yet, the demand for JD's remains high otherwise all these LS classes wouldn't be filling up year after year.  The administrators and professors continue to make big money, even at the bottom level degree mills.  Will the bubble burst and when?  What can be done to make the bubble burst?  What will it take to balance things out?

I keep reading all the bitchin' and complainin' about folks who can't get a job but is that the answer, just keep bitchin'?  Whine until things change?  Somebody offer me a reasoned, intelligent answer to the problem.

Think carefully about whether you really want to be a lawyer.  Recongnize that you probably won't be making big bucks when you first graduate, if ever.  Plan accordingly.

Dear Clayton,

Did you get the email I sent you on 7/15/08? I wrote to you to tell you that your LSAT score of 158 and 3.11 GPA and other academic accomplishments qualify you for admission to our August '08 entering class and since we still have some scholarship funds available, I can offer you a merit scholarship in the amount of $7000 per year.

Please reply to this email or give me a call at (904) 680-xxxx so we can talk more about this opportunity. By the way, I am willing to wave your application fee.

I will be working tomorrow (Saturday) so feel free to contact me.

Thank you,

Please note that I never applied and am currently set to attend a t2 in a few weeks.

Ooooh...T2!  Well done, "Matlock"!!!
