I will also be at all of the events, except for the housing session. Did either of you read that case they emailed. I am curious, was this case easy/normal/difficult compared to the typical case we will be assigned in classes. I feel as though it was an easy example, which would make sense to me, but I really have no idea. What are your thoughts on this?

I am curious if you will advise me to go to the school I am leaning towards.
My LSN is in my sig. (For the purpose of this, lets pretend that I will get accepted to WUSTL w/ no $, even though this acceptance is very unlikely) -I am in-state at Kansas -My parents will be giving me $500 per month -Socially I am outgoing and enjoy going out to dive bars and jazz bars. -I am not set on any particular location to practice (don't think I want to be in Kansas), would prefer a city as opposed to something small/college town -I would like to go midlaw, possible in-house someday, BIGlaw is not out of the question, I am open about this -I know I want to practice Health Law -I am currently getting my masters degree in Clinical Psychology and will have debt from that, so financial issues are of some concern to me. Jammer, I would also love to know the answer to this question. Your particular example is of interest to me. I most likely will end up at SLU, unless I somehow get into WUSTL.

Yea I figured among schools of similar ranking this would be the case. The big question I will face is if I do get into WUSTL (USNWR - 19), as unlikely as that is, what do I do. I know that Health Law is what I want to get into
(From previous experience), but SLU is T2. I have an unconditional 10K per year scholarship at SLU and I would not get any $ at WUSTL. The tuition difference would be 24K vs. 40K. I guess that will be a question to face if the time comes. My main question is what a high speciality ranking does to a schools national pull. I would think it would help within that specific area of law, but I really have nothing to base that on other than just what seems to make sense to me. 7

I have posted this topic on another thread; however, I have not received that many responses. I feel like the advice I have read on this thread has been really helpful, so I'll ask the question again. I am curious how much weight should be placed on USNWR Specialty Rankings.
In my case, I know that I want to get into Health Law. I have been accepted to SLU (#1 Health Law). Does this REALLY matter that much. I know that it would be a better idea to go to a top school as opposed to a school with a high Health Law ranking, but my numbers do not really allow that. I applied to WUSTL, but it is a REALLY far reach in my opinion. I am aware that SLU is a regional school and I do not mind staying in the region. Does a high specialty ranking make the school more known on a national level with firms that focus on that area? Any input on this will be greatly appreciated 8

I certainly agree with your point. With my numbers T-14 will not happen. I am actually hoping for WUSTL, but it was a really far reach and I do not think there is any chance I'll get in. My dilemma will be SLU with 10K per year guaranteed scholarship or WUSTL with no scholarship (if by some chance I get in). I plan on specializing in Health Law and would not mind staying in the SL area. Tuition difference would be 23k vs. 40k per year.
