General Board / Does final exam procrastination lead to more.....

Oh lord, I've hit a new low on LSD.

Studying and Exam Taking / Re: Is it bad if you're going over.....

In replying to "That One" above:  I'm glad you said: "Isn't going over the entire semester before the exam kind of the point?" I guess law exams are just a different animal than I've encountered before.  Going over 700-900 pages worth of material, even skimming a good portion of it, is a monstrous task.  In any case, I'm definitely going to hit it much harder during the semester next time.
By the way, my K exam allows us to bring one 8 1/2 X 11 sheet of paper as a "cheat sheet."  I'm now making it and it's hilarious because I'm using 5 pt font (Times New Roman) and 2,700 words doesn't even cover 1/2 of the front page.  Thank god for the cheat sheet.....and thanks for the advice. ;D

Studying and Exam Taking / Is it bad if you're going over.....

EVERYTHING from the entire semester in the five days before the test?  Any 2 or 3Ls want to weigh in?  I think it's turning out to be a very bad idea....I read for class all semester, but I definitely didn't do much memorization or anything very deep into the material.  In any case, I think I'm learning my lesson because I'm burned out from the first exam and am having trouble getting going on the next one.  My plan was not to do too much in the first half of the semester thinking I'd probably forget a lot of it anyway...oops, I think. ???

General board for soon-to-be 1Ls / State Bar Associations
« on: March 26, 2008, 04:32:04 PM »
Is there a website or something that lays out which states are more stringent?  I've looked into State bar websites, and they seem vague, if not unhelpful.  Plus, one can spend hours trying to find specific info and come away with nothing much.  Anyone have any ideas where you can find a condensed state by state guide of bar strictness as it pertains to Character & Fitness to practice?   ???
Thanks.

Now I wish I hadn't asked.  Hopefully it will at least be sealed, unlike the rejection I rec'd from Loyola-Chicago.  Thanks for the answer.

Where should I go next fall? / Univ. of Denver - How do they reject?
« on: March 20, 2008, 12:16:20 PM »
I've heard a lot of people say they rec'd an email when accepted, but what about the rejections?  Do they still send an email? ??? ???

HELP!!

No, it's for criminal stuff - not GPA.  You're right, I don't want to give them the opportunity to look without everything being there.

Probably a dumb question, but I'm just not sure...I have my rec letters and would like to buy some time while I finish up the PS.  Any thoughts?

Studying for the LSAT / Re: Dec Score Release Date?
« on: December 19, 2007, 06:17:55 PM »
I just spoke with a LSAC customer rep, and he said it will be Jan. 2.  Although, he did agree that scores can be released earlier, but there is no way to know ahead of time..... ???  There is definitely no good answer to this question since they have to acknowledge only "published" deadlines/release dates.  I'm not scared to see my score, just scared to know that my ps should have been ready by Dec. 20/21 instead of Jan 2.
Late.
