Thanks for the input guys -- I'm a bit concerned about what employers think about PT deal, but if that isn't an issue, I think I'm ok with the whole PT->FT thing and would love being in DC. Anyone have any information on this?

I know Cornell is higher in USNWR but I get the sense that GULC is the better school. I would like to make it back to California after law school. Thoughts?

Acceptances / Where to go for IP law? Georgetown, GWU, or BU?« on: February 21, 2008, 11:35:56 PM »
Perhaps beating a dead horse here, but could use some input. I've gotten into George Washington (Among the top IP programs), Boston University (good IP program) and Georgetown Part-time. If I plan on doing IP law in California, which of these options is my best bet? I've read that IP rankings don't matter too much, which would seem to mean that I should go to Georgetown, but would it be worth another year in school? And if not, Boston U. seems to have better "Career Prospects" according to Princeton Review as well as a good IP program also so that seems like another good option. Any input would be MUCH appreciated.

I've been taking a look at different law schools, and I'm a bit confused about the best places to apply to. My stats are: 3.94 GPA (UCLA, Electrical Engineering), 3.9 (Stanford, Electrical Engineering Masters), and 163 LSAT. As you can see my LSAT is hurting me. I also have about 5 years of work experience as an engineer as well. What would be the best bets for me?
My tenative list for now is: Boalt as a stretch UCLA UT Austin Boston U GW U Fordham UIUC University of Washington Davis Advice? Other schools, less schools? 5
