Always an option...

During 1L year, there was a woman in one of my classes who would just mumble something inaudible to the professor.
After telling her to speak up 2-3 times and getting equally inaudible responses, he just gave up.

Today I learned that I don't have Civ Pro with the same professor that Nealric did.

Incoming 1Ls / Re: buy laptop now, or wait for windows 7?

More than likely windows 7 will be a bug-ridden p.o.s. for awhile after it comes out anyway, just like every other windows o.s. I'm still using XP pro and I'm not going to switch/upgrade until I absolutely have to.

I've been using the Windows 7 RC for a month or so now, and haven't had so much as a hiccup.  I think they might have actually turned themselves around after Vista.

I thought a big part of being a lawyer was complaining about your three years of law school.

Sounds like you're still missing a qualification.

Right.  Don't dwell too much on why you did poorly 15 years ago.  The message you want to send isn't that your past performance should be excused, it's that it's irrelevant given your success since then.

Sotomayor's out of Committee.

Also, I'd been afraid to say anything about this until the signed lease actually arrived for fear of jinxing myself into homelessness, but we have an apartment in DC!  The process has been consuming my life recently.  Next stop: selling my beloved car that got me through 3 years as a delivery boy.  :'(

The best quote is on the next page:

Sample size at my school was 98, and 4 broke 90th percentile. The truly scary thing is that 20 of that 98 were in the 0-19 percentile band.

WOW!!! 20% of the people who took the test were in the bottom 20 percentile? HOLY *&^% SOMEONE CALL GOD, HE MADE MATH WORK

Today, I found one of those online color blindness tests where you have to distinguish a colored number from the pattern. Not being able to, I spent hundreds of dollars on medical tests to discover that the pattern online was a joke. FML

NPE, if you were at the Exile GTG in Nashville, you did a piss poor job distinguishing yourself.

Sadly, I can confirm that I was absent.  'Twould've been a fun time, too, it seems.
