Apparently (since LSAC pretty much owns the software that most schools use for their app checkers) - LSAC must have implemented a fee module to let students know that they owe $$$, or keep track of what $ they paid.

I go to TLS for mindless banter, and LSD to surf for decent info on law schools. Sometimes, I see stuff on TLS just linking back to LSD, so eh..
I'm kinda glad LSD doesn't have an explicit What Are My Chances board... it all gets so mindnumbing. There are some good folks on TLS, but for the most part, +1 about the TLS mentality. 4

Hey guys - first off, thanks for all of your help. I've been reading through parts of the thread and you guys have been giving great information.
Unfortunately, I haven't had the chance to read all 200+ pages, so forgive me if I'm repeating a question or two. Just a couple of Qs: 1. What is public transportation (if applicable) like in New Orleans? Is the campus pretty self-contained or is there a lot of commuting involved? 2. I figured I'd try and ask: I went complete on November 13th - I was wondering what the normal timeframe for an admissions decision is? My numbers are 3.37/162 (GPA took a slight dip because of college courses from high school and year abroad grades didn't count), pretty solid softs. 3. I hear great things about Tulane's national prestige - how does the school place in Washington D.C.? Thanks again. 7

I've gone from worrying about law school acceptance to temporarily worrying about grades. Should switch by the start of next semester.

With the first question: it depends on the school. Some schools allow you to apply to both, some don't.
I'm familiar with general residency rules for state schools, but not particularly for law schools. Usually, you need to have X amount of years of residency established BEFORE attending school (utility bills, etc... usually more strict protocols) to gain in-state status. Maybe someone else can answer the verification question. But there are always lenders that do other loans, not just the Stafford. |
