Law School Applications / Re: Do I HAVE to withdraw?
« on: April 09, 2008, 09:25:15 PM »
You're applying to go to effing law school.  Stop being so nonconfrontational and do the professional thing - write an email, write a letter, pick up the phone, whatever - and let schools know that you've decided to go elsewhere.

How am I being nonconfrontational? That's a rather rude thing to say to someone who obviously is asking about this to get input about what the "professional" thing is.  Thanks for your input, though.

Law School Applications / Do I HAVE to withdraw?
« on: April 07, 2008, 08:40:48 PM »
As the deadline for submitting deposits gets near, I am almost certain of where I'm going to attend.

I was just wondering if I have to tell the schools that I'm not attending in the form of a letter, call,or email?

Is it OK if I just don't submit the deposit?

Where should I go next fall? / Re: Houston Vs. American WCL?
« on: April 01, 2008, 11:35:39 PM »
wow i was gonna post a thread on this myself since the cost of attending U of H is really cheap for me (in-state tuition).

I'm leaning towards American because I love the Northeast, it has a great international law program, and I personally dislike Houston as a place to live for a young professional.  Then again, it depends on what you like in a city.

Great post from the person before me, btw!

it still says " file in review".

wow, I'm sxurprised at how much money I would save by choosing Houston over a school in DC...

I got my financial aid package today.

I guess they were generous with their scholarship offer.
I wonder if I can live in DC with a roomate for $1000 or less a month in rent.
