Hey guys,
I have some schools in mind that I would like to apply to, but should I wait to get my LSAT score (taking it in december) before I start spending money on apps? or should I take the risk and start them so they will be reviewed and completed faster?

thx

Chris

Law School Applications / Re: Post Bac Work
« on: August 22, 2007, 04:32:16 PM »
I'm neglecting part of your question, but I'll respond in re supposed 'pre-law' post bac work.

In short, law school is not med school. Post bac work that isn't toward a degree would be senseless.

thankx for the responses...let me re-state the question: If I earn a 2nd bachelors degree in Philosophy that is designed for Pre-Law then apply to law school will this improve my chances of getting in or will law schools emphasize my first degree?

thx

Law School Applications / Post Bac Work
« on: August 22, 2007, 12:59:31 PM »
wassup everyone,

How do law schools look at Post Bacc work? for example doing a pre-law (philo/political science) program after you graduate? would it help your chances if you are applying the same year that you are doing the post bac work? or is it better to apply after you have completed the courses? also, how does it look if you go for a 2nd degree at a diff school from where you graduated? will any of this extra work improve chances of getting accepted, or distinguish you beneficially from other applicants?

Thanks!

Chris

Technically I will be taking a year off since I didnt apply for fall 07. I am going to re-take the lsats in December, and apply for fall 08.  .  . I can work in that one year to show I got experience, but if I dont get a job before I apply then it wont be making a difference. Should I apply for Fall 09? take two years off?

I want to go to school in Cali, which LS are in my reach?

Thanks

You clearly want someone to say that applying and going to law school at 19 is a rock awesome idea, so here goes:

Apply!  Live your dreams!  Your soft factors are Charmin soft!  You'll have a fantastic cycle!!!!!

Look, we're strangers on a message board.  If you want to go ahead, just do it and see what happens.

I am not going to base my decision off of some very kind strangers opinion on a forum, but I will take it into consideration.[
