Acceptances, Denials, and Waitlists / Re: Chapman/Southwestern Waitlist
« on: August 01, 2007, 02:17:46 PM »
I've received a letter from Chapman today and was taken off the waitlist... My current Dilemna now is whether to still wait for Southwestern which they told me could open up more spots during the week of August 13th(Their Orientation)

Additionally, I'm slated to attend Cal Western this fall. Any thoughts on whether there is a significant advantage to going to either school?

I'm still waiting on a call from Southwestern or Chapman and its getting pretty close to august 20th anyone have any information on whether or not its pretty full or if I won't get a call? Thanks

Congratulations!!1 I'm still waiting for a call for good or worse. Caleb is probably one of the most helpful faculty members I have talked to in a law school.

sorry to hear that cali... did they say you could transfer to the day program after a year or two?

piatowski from this forum just yesterday I believe his post is in the acceptances board about whether he hsould go to southwestsern or la verne with $$$$

Good luck to everyone else waiting for Southwestern I'm always checking my phone for any missed calls or any emails hahah

Nope. Nothing here either. Alcohol tends to make this process a little more soothing however. hahaha

I'm also waiting to hear back from SW and Chapman. Both schools were incredibly helpful to me in understanding why the waitlist may take awhile. I would assume after June 15 when most of the final seat deposits are due they would finally have a more precise estimate as to how many they can grant offers to. So I guess just hang in there. Even if you hear back early July it would still be worth the wait assuming you aren't planning on moving Early July.

Acceptances, Denials, and Waitlists / Southwestern Waitlist Question
« on: June 05, 2007, 10:09:42 PM »
As of now I am waitlisted at Southwestern but if I am not accepted I will be attending Cal Western. I really want to attend Southwestern but would not want to deal with moving to SD then back to Downtown LA unless I know what the odds are. I guess my questions are:

Are there any current students who know exactly how many people get off the waitlist from southwestern? Yes, I know it varies year from year but I am just curious if anyone has an idea as to whether as long interest is shown one is more likely than not to get off the waitlist?

Please no flaming - I am new to this board and form the looks of it is a more knowledgeable and refined board as opposed to others out there.
