Hey folks...I'm a 1L this year and I've been hearing that the only way to get a summer associate gig as a 1L this year is through firm diversity programs. The problem is I'm having a hard time finding these programs so that I can look into applying/finding the requirements and what not. Does anyone know of a way to find firms which offer these programs? I'd truly appreciate it

Question to my fellow future/current or former law students...what did you do for money while in law school? Between the ABA policy on not working, plus the fact that it's not a smart decision academically, whats the alternative? My parents are in no position to fully take care of me so that's out the picture. Just wondering how others handled the situation.

If a school offers you a CRS based fee waiver, does that indicate higher chance of acceptance? Just curious

Quick question folks. I know most schools I'm applying to require 2 academic recommendations. If I have a close relationship with a university professor NOT at the school that I attend, would that count as an academic recommendation or should I count it as personal? I've never taken a class with him but I have done work with him outside of a school setting. Opinions?

On TLS, the consensus is definitely that section 3 (2nd LG) was experimental. I've also confirmed with friends who have had only one LG. (Sorry to LSD if this discussion is breaking any rules, I can take it down if need be)

Just curious...how reliable is LSN in terms of minority applications in your opinions? Between the sheer lack of minority applicants on the site (in relation to all ORM's) and the obvious fake accunts, I feel like it's kinda hard to gauge my chances at certain schools. Am I overanalyzing this or should I take my LSN research with a grain of salt?

Honestly, I wouldn't even apply this year if I took Dec, but most people are too impatient to take a year off.
