Choosing the Right Law School / LOCI Questions
« on: April 13, 2009, 10:18:43 AM »
Tomorrow I am going to visit a school that I am currently waitlisted at. I have heard alot on these boards about Letters of Continued Interest and that they are a good idea to write for visits such as this. I was hoping that someone could give a bit more direction on what should go in a letter like this and who it should be given to? I realize that it is kind of self-explanatory, that you should explain to the school that you still would like to attend their program in the future but is there anything else that should be in this letter?

Thanks...

Law School Admissions / Calling...
« on: January 09, 2009, 12:58:26 PM »
I just had a question. I think that its frowned upon, but I just want to check to make sure...I have a few friends who sent in apps to similar schools a bit after me with similar stats and have heard back from said schools over the past 2 or 3 weeks. I however, despite sending out the apps and going complete earlier, have not heard back. Would it be entirely bad to call the admissions office and question the status of my applications? Thanks!!

Early Decision from Brooklyn came today...Waitlisted/Deferred to regular decision. Not 100% what the letter says, it was sent to my house and got the news passed along by my family. I thought I would be in here....
3.5/160 are the stats

Law School Admissions / Brooklyn Notification...
« on: November 29, 2008, 07:58:08 PM »
I just had a question for any of you who have previously been accepted/rejected/waitlisted from Brooklyn Law School. I am currently waiting to hear back from my early decision application that I submitted to Brooklyn. I was just wondering in what way they contact you to give their decision, be it email or snail mail...

Thanks to anyone who has an answer! Hope everyone had a good holiday...

Choosing the Right Law School / Fall 09 Chances...
« on: July 20, 2008, 06:48:33 PM »
I know everyone has seen a million of these threads, but I just wanted to thow my hat into the pot and see what people say.

I go to a state school (Binghamton) in upstate NY. Bunch of internships in DA offices and other law offices. 3.5 GPA. 157 LSAT in June (Going to retake in Oct because my practice scores average around a 164).

Im looking to apply to schools in major metropolitan areas. I was thinking about applying to the following:

Cardozo
Brooklyn
Fordham
New York Law
St Johns
Boston
George Washington

I know that my chances at a bunch of these schools are pending a better result on my Oct LSAT which I am hoping for, but just looking for some thoughts on my choices. Also if you have any other schools to consider id appreciate it.

Thanks.
