I'm willing to go to almost any market - prefer Chicago, but willing to go to California, Texas, DC, Seattle. I more than 3 years corporate work experience (not lawyer, just various positions). Career services doesn't have any stats yet.
how can you afford to pay back over $100,000 in loans on that?
Come to Penn
I have heard that Penn loves the gays!
Is that true?
Yes, very much so. Penn is extremely inclusive and supportive. Aside from having a significant number of out/self-identified LGBT students, I think what's even more impressive is the number of straight allies who are actively involved with Lambda and sincerely concerned with LGBT issues. It's really great.
Good call on the not giving "legal advice," but his "case" with Temple's financial aid office is pretty weak as well.
He had already decided to attend before the whole scholarship mishap.QuoteI got accepted to the school with no $ and had sent an email asking if they could re-consider. I got a message back saying there was nothing they could do and I resigned myself to that. I made up my mind about going there and having to borrow the max amount of loans for the 1st yr then I got my fin aid award letter in the mail teling me they were offering me 15,000 for the first year as a Law Faculty Scholarship.
The relevant issue is not whether he decided to attend before he got the scholarship offer. The issue is whether the court believes he did.
Unless he formally declined the other offers before the scholarship offer, he could still potentially argue PE. There's no way for the court or anyone else to read his mind regarding the ultimate decision unless he somehow made his intentions manifest.
I don't see the point of doing a collective note...I mean, do you really think the recruiting person will get your note and then immediately email the hiring partners or whomever and tell them that you thanked her for having you at the callback?
Soooooo bummed that he came on a Friday during callback season.
