I've wondered how so many people recognized me, too!

Probably thanks to that mass email I sent out revealing your identity after we shared a cab from the airport.

It's soon to be a moot point, but I thought they were going to be sending us contact info for our LC roommates...

I got a backhanded compliment snub. I was hanging out with some Harvard kids a few weeks ago. I got a point over on one of them during a friendly argument, and one of the other guys was like "How do you like that? Michigan just put you in your place," said as if it were such an unbelievable occurrence that a lowly Michigan law student could ever out-think someone at the vaunted Kennedy School of Government  ::).

They have a limit to the number of people who can participate in MAP?  That's kinda crappy, though there might be a way to work it out.  Have you tried to call anyone?

By the way, I will be doing the "pre-orientation," at least for one of the two days.  Can't wait to meet you all.

It was kinda weird...I sent off my MAP form a couple days before the due date, then sent a follow-up email, and didn't hear anything back. Then a couple of days ago I got a email from some guy saying that the woman who I'd sent the forms to was on sick leave or something when I sent my stuff, and that I should have gotten an out of office reply- which I definitely did not. Anyway, he said that all the spots had been filled up before I sent in my stuff anyway, so I was placed on a waitlist. I wanted to do MAP, but I actually was debating whether it made sense to head out that early, so rather than make a fuss I'm taking it as a sign that I should enjoy a few more days of life as a non-law student.

MAP starts two weeks from today.  My anxiety and excitement are increasing rapidly.

I couldn't get a spot, and now I'm not gonna have any friends! Noooooo

General Off-Topic Board / Re: Zombie Apocalypse

About a week ago I was walking down by the harbor, and there was a cargo ship with Brazilian flags docked there. The boarding ramp was down, and there were police everywhere. My first thought was that I needed to get home and start my zombie apocalypse preparations (step 1: put water, weapons, and canned food on second floor of house, then destroy staircase.)

Here's a crucial question- go lone wolf, or join up with a group?

Interesting like "interesting" or interesting like "...interesting"?
