Incoming 1Ls / University of Washington 2010

Still have two more months of work left and am getting BORED on the job-so I thought I'd see who else around was planning on being in Seattle this fall?

Well, I thought I'd revive this thread-is anyone going to the Moot Court/Reception this Friday?  I live in Seattle and haven't gone to any of the accepted stuff but it seemed a good time to take a day off of work.  I live with my boyfriend on Capitol Hill and will stay there.  Right now I work in Auburn, which is a good 45 minutes to an hour commute, so mostly I'm really excited to stay in the city during the day.  And to quit my job.  Really excited about that.

Chicago wrote "Although there is no way to lessen the disappointment...blah blah blah."

My boyfriend drew a noose on the letter next to this sentence and we put it on the fridge.

That makes sense...I certainly don't think you are the only 22 year old not so interested in being in a relationship.  maybe it's being 28, maybe it's that I think my boyfriend is a really kick a** and I just have a great time with him...but I'm so glad I don't have to break up with him to go to law school.

Can I ask how old you are? I do forget on these boards there are a lot of folks just out of undergrad.

Maybe it's just me, but I would have no interest in being in a three year relationship with someone i was just looking for an excuse to get out of.  What is the point? (I know, good sex, general laziness, ambivalence about the relationship).

It just seems a bit ridiculous to string someone along like that.

Having grown up in Salem and living in Seattle currently, I cannot help but echo echo echo the poster who said Salem is the pits.  Everytime I go home it has spawned more and more generic strip malls.  Seriously, if going to Applebees for a special night out is your idea of a good time, go to Willamette.

They finally dinged me!  I have closure.  My favorite part of the letter was "Although there is nothing I can do to lessen the disapointment" (my boyfriend drew a noose next to it and we put it on the fridge)...

Anyways, I'm a happy camper, staying in Seattle and going to UW.

Yeah, me too.  I'd just like it already.  Do you know where you will likely end up?

Went complete January 9th, haven't heard anything.  Anyone else in this boat? My numbers are a little low for them, but I'm so gosh darn curious!!!
