Saja and I just got an apartment together (a really great one by the way!). A lot of the realtors I talked to didn't get back to me, but if any of you want the contact info for the more responsive and helpful ones, send me a message!

But if anyone is a Yankees fan, or at least not a Red Sox fan, I will be your friend...Congrats Saja! Sounds like a great find! So I obviously haven't been on LSD in a while.... but... Saja's and my apartment is AMAZING and SCAP of course you're invited over. However, I will put a time limit on sports conversations if there is nobody else around to entertain me with non-sports talk. 4

Sorry Bosco! I was just remembering a conversation we had a while ago about how SCAP needed to tell Toby to let MP, Hank, and I in. But you know I want you to come to Harvard too!

I am now 100% sure I'm going to Chicago in the fall! Hey! It wasn't a lie! I planned to send in the withdrawal form but then I went home for the weekend and forgot about it. So then Wednesday I got the phone call e-mail. My main reason for wanting to withdraw was that I figured I wouldn't get in, and if I did I would find out in August and by that time I wouldn't want to change all my plans and move to Boston. So yeah... long story short I swear I didn't lie because I planned on withdrawing but Harvard preempted me. And I'm pretty sure I'm going to go to Harvard but I still love Chicago and hope you all have a wonderful time there! 8

Where should I go next fall? / Re: NYU($$) or Chicago?« on: May 07, 2007, 01:22:14 AM »And my posts about staying on Harvard's waitlist are a joke. I didn't even apply there - I only applied to Chicago, and if I didn't get in, I was going to take a year off and apply again next year. Bosco! You're so full of it! 10
General board for soon-to-be 1Ls / Re: University of Chicago Class of 2010« on: May 06, 2007, 11:06:20 PM »This reminds me of letting sugar-starved kids loose on a candy store to wreak havoc...we are having way too much fun with the new e-mail addresses MP- I just set up my POP account with Apple Mail. I had trouble too, and it turned out that you can't put your password in when you set it up at first. You have to do that afterwards. So this is what I did: Select Add Account under the File menu Select POP as the account type Change the name of your POP Account if you want (mine is ChicagoMail) Type in your full name Type your e-mail address Press continue Type "pop.uchicago.edu" as the incoming mail server Type in your cnet id DON'T enter your password Press continue It'll tell you that logging in failed, press continue again anyway Select the Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) Select Password under Authentication Type "smtp.uchicago.edu" as the outgoing mail server DON'T select Use Authentication Press continue It'll give you the Account summary Press continue, then press done Under the Accounts section of Preferences, select your POP account (ChicagoMail) Under the Advanced tab, make sure SSL is checked, the port is 993, and authentication is Password Close Preferences Under Mailbox->Online Status, select "Take ChicagoMail online" A screen will pop up asking for your password, type it in and select "add to keychain" if you don't want to type it in every time And it should be working after all of that... |
