Law School Applications / Re: Complete ACL Tear. Should I Defer?
« on: July 09, 2007, 09:50:57 PM »
I know every injury is different, but I tore my ACL not too long ago. I tore mine in September and did not have surgery till Jan 3rd. After the swelling went down in september...i had very little pain and was able to walk around, but i didnt play any sports or anything like that. If your doctor sees this scenario for you, then id reccomend stickin with LS. Remember that you can get a handicap pass and that makes things much better. Healing time was not terrible after surgery...i had it jan 3rd and i was walking without crutches about two weeks after that.

Again, I realize every injury is different, but mine was a fairly severe tear and I did not consider the entire process tough enough to where I would defer law school if this happened to me again.

Best of luck..

I'll post the link to this explanation when my b/f emails it to me...but apparently a few episodes ago Tony and Bobby had a conversation about what they think happens when you die. Tony said something to the effect of "Nothing. Everything just goes black." Which is what happened...

Do you have that link yet? I am curious after reading what you posted.

right on....disregarding the last few minutes the episode was slow and boring.

There are 5 seasons. It is definitely a lot of tv, but sfu is incredible.

did anyone watch John from Cin?

I completely understand what you felt about when watching the commercials, but I decided to give Milch the benefit of the doubt. I am glad I did. The supernatural things that happened in the first episode and that will likely happen in following showings are not hokey Lost type things. Personally, I am interested in where this show is going.

aaaaand if you do get the chance I will always recommend Six Feet Under to everyone. I consider it to be the finest hour in television history. Six Feet Under is beautiful, intrinsically real, and a delicately accurate portrayal of human beings. The last episode of SFU is about the most amazing thing ive seen on a screen.

I was very pleased with David Milch's new show. I think it brave to have something supernatural occur in a serious drama, but from what i saw, they may pull it off. Deadwood was, as is the case with many HBO shows, a great series and JFC is definitely interesting.
I know that it is because John keeps saying things such as "The End is Near", but I am wondering if JFC is gonna end up being related to the bible...like maybe Shaun is the second coming of Jesus or something like that.

Either way...there will never be another Six Feet Under, but this show interests me.

I agree with you. I got the feeling that the overall message is that its all gonna be alright...and thats fine because after so many years I have grown to care about the family, but that is not the shows essence. I understand how some may like it, but I think it was a boring and incredibly slow episode and I think it exhibits a lack of creativity.

Alan Ball would have never stood for that last episode.
