At UF it's around 40%. That's combined Fall/Spring, now, but still, not bad. Does that mean top 40% = OCI job? Probably not, but it's still encouraging.

I'll be getting my Florida Law tee shirt when I'm back up in Gainesville sometime within the next few weeks.
They have some sweet T's across the street from the law school at Wilbert's, along with TONS of law school supplies -- supplements, books, audio books, BOOZE, you name it.

And only God knows how much longer Mr. 2-Bits will be around. Thank your maker that you'll get to see the man who is easily the coolest damn person alive.
I met him once. Chills...
"TWO BITS! FOUR BITS!
SIX BITS! A DOLLAR!
ALL FOR THE GATORS,
STAND UP AND HOLLER!!!"
Guy's like 87 or something. Still RUNS out on the field. RUNS all around the stadium during games. Countless PR appearances. He's a freaking machine.
Just go to one football game, make sure to either get season or one student ticket for a game. Get there a little early. Watch the magic. The man is incredible.

I was wondering if one of the UF graduates that post here might have an answer to a fairly insignificant question. Now that I am a proud and excited member of UF Law Class of 2011 I wear my Gators and "Florida Law" T-shirts from time to time. I fly a lot for work and in every airport I get inundated with "Go Gators" greetings. Is there an appropriate response that lets people know you really are a part of the club?
Just say it back. That's all you need to know.
I've had Capitol Hill security guys say it to me -- it's truly a Gator Nation.
I'm a longtime Gator, going in to my 2L year.
Just want to say welcome everyone, and forget gym memberships. UF has you covered from every angle. Lap pools, gyms, tennis courts, weight rooms, aerobics, tons and tons of options.
Southwest Rec Center, the best one, is open until 1AM five nights a week, and 10pm on weekends.
UF. Trust me.
Okay, seriously, if he wants to live in South Florida, Miami is just as good of a bet. But UF's reputation is much better, and he can get a job anywhere in the state.
UM is great for Miami, and apparently has better out-of-state connections (not sure of this, though).
Either way, they're both great schools. I just hate UM with every fiber of my being. Can't wait till this fall...gonna pound their ass in the Swamp.

UF, about top 1/3
Not super-competitive inside, but good reputation outside
Not a ton of great jobs in Gainesville.
That said, I got a paid clerking job in town, so I'm very happy.
Florida Coastal sent me emails offering a free iPod.
Then again, I go to UF, so it feels like I go to the only school in the state. Truth be told, I know a lot of lawyers who are very successful from FCU.
