Here's another question for those of you who have either lived in or seen the Tower studio apartments:  Would a full-size bed fit comfortably in the studio, along with a small bookcase and regular-sized desk?

Sorry, I know this seems lame, but I'm making the move without seeing the space and am wondering what I could bring with me and what I need to buy.

I'd like to think that I'm done with my days of sleeping on a twin-bed, but who knows?

Thanks for your help!

Hello fellow Tower-mates,

Got my lease agrement in the mail two days ago - a studio on one of the lower-mid floors.  Anyone going to the Alumni meet'n'greet being held in LA?  See everyone in less than two months!

You can store bikes in your room but the efficiency apartments are pretty small.  The rack down the street is supposedly fine also security claims theyve never had a bike ripped off from it.  There may be some other bike storage in the tower too but im not sure.

Credo comes through again.  Thanks!

Hastings16,

Thirty-something'ish on the list, and I sent in my Tower app late January.  Apparently they usually have ~100 apartments for 1L's, so I'm really hoping that this works out.

Still no word from UCSF MB Housing.

Anybody know of where to store their bikes in Tower Housing?  Thanks!

Anyone know of how bike storage works in the Tower?  Are we allowed to bring a bike up to our room, and if not, is there a secure area to put a bike in the Tower?  Thanks!

Called Tower Housing last week to ask about my status, and they told me where I was on the list.  According to the lady I spoke to, we should expect to hear from them in late June or early July.

Anyone else get news today of being waitlisted for UCSF Mission Bay housing?  For those of you who resided in the Tower, do you remember when you were allowed to move in?  Thanks!

Yeah, I'm still debating, but I'm about 90% in favor of Mission Bay.  A scooter should be a lot of fun, not to mention economical.

Can't wait to get up to SF.  Should be a great year.

Thanks for the heads-up, Le Johnny C.  Good to know.  Do you know where you'll be living next year?

Incoming 1Ls / Harvard Housing Waitlist - who's with me?
« on: May 06, 2007, 07:45:25 PM »
If any current HLS students can help shed some light on this, I'd really appreciate it.  Also, any nearby apartment suggestions in case I don't get off of the waitlist?  Seeing that I'm currently about 50th on the waitlist for a dormitory, what are  the chances of getting into the dorms at this point (any dorm, it doesn't matter which one)?  Also, I applied for Harvard Affiliated Housing and my online view dates are in early July.  Will I be able to get a studio at that time?  July seems like a late viewing date.

Thanks in advance.

i applied online too and since i haven't received any emails other than the "thank you for applying" one, i'm assuming my application went through without any problems. which housing category did you apply for? i chose the 1 br in a 4-br apartment. i really like that the new muni t line connects the two campuses - it ups the convenience level by a lot.

Yeah, I also chose the 1-BR in a 4-BR option.  Good price, plenty of space, and the Muni line has a stop right outside of the apartment building and in front Hastings.  I'm also sort of looking forward to living with other students who are going through hell, but not necessarily law school hell.

When do you move in?
