This purging thing must stop.

That's the page alright. Viagra sponsors the space law rankings with a slogan of "Don't let gravity get you down."

Oh, makes sense.  I just have "viagra...get...down" on the bottom of the page.

Where should I go next fall? / Re: GPA vs. LSAT
« on: July 25, 2006, 05:53:46 PM »
My observations:

all schools care more about lsat
most schools give better scholarships to really high gpas/solid or high lsats over the converse

I feel like HYS may not care more about the LSAT.  Because if you have that 175/3.5, you're probably not getting in there, but you'll get NYU or whatever.  You want to have that 175, sure, but you also want the 3.9.

Of course I was never a serious candidate for HYS, and I haven't trolled xoxo for 2 years, so I may not have looked at those as closely as you.

HYS are almost always excluded from my generalizations because they are really the only super selective schools that aren't easy to predict based on numbers (less so with Harvard).

Obviously, lsat can matter more, but there are gpa thresholds.

Wait List / Re: In off Cornell WL
« on: July 25, 2006, 05:40:45 PM »
but the ppl you speak of r prolly in nyc where cornell would be the obvious choice if that's where they wanted to be post grad, for DC it's a whole nother story, but hats just my take

PS The DC Biglaw placement is GW 65 and Cornell 26 -- and that's pretty reflective of the general trend here for placement with govt agencies. GW has a lot more pull for what you're trying to do.

Good luck with your decision! And congrats with your acceptances....

No, Cornell does, GW is just closer.

GO TO CORNELL!  I know people that regret their decision of Fordham over Cornell that are at top firms, because it still haunts them every time they send their resume.

Disagreement is fine.

I am confident that Cornell is better than GW for DC.

lower.

it's clearly a spoof intended to make fun of nascar dads, so they'll be pissed bout it.

But will they notice?

Black people see movies about black people that aren't flattering.

I'm thinking they won't notice.

Me too.

Or they will celebrate it, like italian americans and gangster movies.

Oh, good call.  I could see them doing that.

When I go visit Vandy, I expect to see lots of Ricky Bobby bobbleheads in the pickups.
