Sending in my first deposit check this week, though it's not my only one right now. It PAINS me to have to go through this process of having to let go of my other acceptances
Sigh, c'est la vie. Sometimes life gives you sugar to go with those lemons and other times it gives you lemons to go with your sugar
But I am genuinely glad to be taking this monumental step towards Emory with you guys
P.S. when I met Elle, she decided to loudly announce to her boyfriend that I was her "internet message board" friend, or something to that extent.
To the OP: I feel like what's gonna happen is gonna happen. If you "let it go" and decide to cut things off just because you're going to be far away, most likely you two are still going to feel like you're in a relationship. You'll still talk and probably miss each other, and it's not like you'd suddenly not see each other on breaks.
My advice -- instead of having that awkward "Well we broke up, but only because of distance so it's like we'd still be together if we were near each other" thing, I'd say try the long distance relationship. If the long distance thing doesn't work, then oh well, at least you tried.
