Transferring / Transferring from lower to tier to top 15?

Is this possible?

I received 2 of the highest grades on the only two assignments we have gotten back, and I am feeling pretty confident about final exams.

I want to start thinking about transferring, but im not sure if i am getting my hopes up. My school is the bottom of tier 2, and a lateral move won't really be worth it to me. I like my school, but if i could get into a top 15 i would obviously be out of there in a second.

I know that most law schools say first year grades are paramount but i wonder if the top 15 still focuses on undergrad as well. If thats the case my undergrad was more than rocky, and my lsat was mediocre at best.. Im wondering if that they will take that into account.

Any advice would be helpful.

Is Cooley the only school you got into?

I would take a year off, study take the test again, write a better personal statement, make your application as strong as it can possibly be and then apply early to schools.

a 3.0 and if you can get your score up to 160, you can have a lot more options.

To where? how many schools? I applied in March to 7 schools I have heard back all but one, but i just got 4 of my decisions in the last 2 weeks.

Where do you want to practice? If you want to be in Long Island and you are going for cheapest than Hofstra, but if the city and cheapest than probably CUNY.

You said you wanted to public law, if you are positive on that than CUNY I would go for CUNY.

I would pick Fordham, if I had a chance to go to a one tier school I would take it, but if not I would go to Cuny for super cheap.

Loyola - New Orleans / Anyone still waiting to hear back from Loyola for this fall?

My application has been "complete and ready for review" since I applied 6 weeks ago. Since it hasn't even been viewed yet, im going to go with thats not a great sign since seats are filling up every second. Im a bit bummed about this.
