I didn't plan on applying this year. I think the Dec lsat is too late in the game for this cycle. I'm going to take the June lsat and apply early next year.

I would avoid this topic if I were you. I'm sure that it had an impact on your life. I just don't think that it is one of those topics that will make you stand out in a positive way to the admissions committee. Try and find something personal and positive about you. I know that overcoming an eating disorder is a serious thing, but I think it is a little different than overcoming racism or poverty in the eyes of the admissions committee. Good luck with it though.

I agree. But replace 'a little' with 'a lot'

I think writing about an eating disorder will seem like a poor attempt at baiting for sympathy.

#1 is the better choice. #2 just makes the reader think you got into the school because your mother was a professor there.... (at least thats what I thought and I kinda didn't care to hear the reasons why your mom resigned.)
