I worked in a pretty "prestigious" DC law firm over the summer and was impressed by how many attorneys there spoke highly of Catholic. I never heard any discussion of Maryland either good or bad.

I was going to apply, but he basically told me to look elsewhere. Nope. Talked to my cousin today and he said they share the building with ungrads. 4
Where should I go next fall? / Re: Just how conservative is George Mason? w/ Poll« on: April 07, 2006, 09:55:39 AM »I got into George Mason the other day and I'm curious what people know about GMU's conservative reputation...Now I know many intellectual conservatives with whom I can talk all day and agree on pragmatic issues but agree to disagree on matters of moral conscience...but I can't stomach pseudo-intellectuals who make fairy tale claims about unregulated free markets e.g. the market is so omnipotent that it can create a stone even it cannot lift (jk.) Anyway does anyone have any insider information about what type of conservatives I'm likely to come up against? I realize it won't be the kind that thinks Adam and Eve rode dinosaurs to church but are there the kind that tries to pretend that wealth stratification is a myth? Fire at will. From what I have heard from friends there, the faculty would bother you. 5

Top 1/3 at Fordham will get you V100, and just about all of the top half can get a 125-145k biglaw job. Fordham has something like 17,000 alumni, the vast majority work in the city and are plain out rabid when it comes to recruiting from fordham. if money isn't an issue i'd say Fordham by far over dozo, brooklyn or st. johns. This statement is inaccurate. Fordham job prospects are currently better than Cardozo, but not as much as you have stated. A lot of people are WAY too high on Fordham. There is a massive drop off in NYC after NYU and Columbia. Fordham is unheard of outside NYC and is not worth assuming massive debt if one can get a cheap legal education at Cardozo. Cardozo will be peers with Fordham in future.
