Where should I go next fall? / Re: Tulane Anything and Everything

NOLA would be tolerable for 3 years (I've lived in the South my whole life), but I would eventually want to be in DC, NY, Boston, or LA.  From what I understand, Tulane places around 25% in the NE, and another 5% out west.  Visiting BC this weekend, pondering a visit to NO.

I'm pretty much in the same situation as you; Tulane is offering 20k a year and my other top choice, George Mason, is offering nothing, but I could get instate after a year.  From everything I've seen, Tulane offers a good path to working in the NE after graduation, at least compared to other southern schools, which is important to me as I would like to work in either DC or NY. My only concerns with Tulane are how the school will be affected in the long run by Katrina and if there will be any drop in prestige or job prospects as a result.

I'll also be attending the open house on the 7th.... any of you that are going have any suggestions on where to stay, hopefully not too expensive?

Can anyone give me an idea of what I'm looking at ($ wise) to live around Arlington? Does the school offer any sort of roommate finder service like some other schools do? Also, for those of you that visited the school what did the facilities/library look like and the area surrounding the school. Thanks

Having a tough time deciding this one.... I like both schools, but I've been offered 2/3 schol. from Tulane and I'm not a VA resident so would pay out of state at GMU.  However, I want to eventually practice in the dc area/ northeast, so I'm not sure which school I would be better off going to. Any insight/suggestions would be appreciated.

Yeah, I heard from them back in December, but I applied early in October.  However, I have a friend with almost the same GPA and LSAT who applied a month later and still hasn't heard back, so I'm not sure what the deal is with them.
