DOG PARKS: the dog beach at montrose harbor (4400 lake shore drive) has lots of big dogs and small dogs, and the small dogs usually all congregate around the north side of the dog beach. don't forget to get your dog park license and your city of chicago dog license, though, before you go to any of the parks or beaches. they're very strict about it. you can get the licenses from your vet.

anyone else going to depaul and living north of wrigleyville? i live in andersonville/uptown, and from the looks of these posts, i might as well be in the north pole.

Thanks for the info about the licenses.  Are the parks fenced in or are they just designated areas?

I hope my dog likes it.  :)

Speaking of dogs does anyone know of any dogparks specifically for small dogs?

I'm not sure...but I will be looking for one.   A dog park period.   Seattle is VERY dog friendly.

Yes, it's a 2bdr garden apt. w/washer and dryer in the unit which is wonderful.

I haven't had a washer/dryer in my house since I lived with my parents  :D  I am envious...

I had to do mine site unseen...because I wanted a for sure place before leaving Seattle.  But 380?!? That's awesome!  Is it a shared space?

I'll be at DePaul this fall.  I just secured a studio in Hyde Park for $625 including utils...one block from Metra!  I am super excited.  I hope my dog likes it.  :)

smitchelljr,  you're starting in the fall too, right?  Where are you moving from?

The Tiki travel guide.   Your guide for all things tiki!   It is fantastic.
But for more practical advice I second the Lonely Planet...they are great for poor people like students.

I keep thinking about dying my hair...then I remember that I'm also trying to get a job. Lawyers are terribly boring.

For the most part, I go for casual to very casual. (Jeans, t-shirts, etc.) However, with cause I wear a suit. For example, interviews, going to court, seeing a clinic client, etc. When you're playing lawyer, look like a lawyer. When you're a law student, doesn't matter.

I thought about that too...but yeah, people might not take me too seriously with purple hair.   :-\

Edit:  Wait, no one is going to take me seriously anyways....maybe I should...

Of course...because things can't be definitively proven we should just sit back on our lazy asses and let the world go to *&^% around us because we're too selfish to take some accountablity and and have chosen to wait for this definitive evidence.  Maybe we do deserve to be wiped out.   :-*
