Acceptances, Denials, and Waitlists / Re: Anything else?

As long as you have something of substance to say, keep sending letters of continued interest.  Research more about the school.  Break the things you are interested into different letters.  Don't let them forget that you are interested and they are your number one choice.

I'm also going to ND!  Does anyone have any suggestions on off-campus housing that might be in walking distance from the law school?

Turtle creek is the only apartment complex that is within walking distance unless you want to rent a house. You really want to have a car at ND or live on campus.

You could live at Clover Ridge and walk - its a little bit farther away from campus than Turtle Creek - but not as sketchy.

I'm planning on living at University Park. If anyone else is let me know!

I'll be there next year!  I went to Saint Mary's and Notre Dame for undergrad (graduated a couple years ago) so if you have any questions about the area PM me.  :)

I think you can explain to your schools that you need a couple extra weeks to decide.  Most schools will understand and give you an extension to turn in your seat deposit.  Only do this with schools you are seriously considering attending otherwise it would not be fair to the people sitting on the respective waitlists.

It's not presumptuous at all. It shows interest in the school and perhaps makes you a more desirable candidate. Make sure to call in advance to know if there are guided tours or to make an appointment. I did that with WUSTL and they ended up giving me an impromptu interview with an admissions counselor.

I agree.  By visiting you show the school that you are genuinely interested.  It can only help your chances of getting accepted.

It looks like during the past week there have been a few acceptances on LSN.  Congrats to any of those people that might also be on LSD!

Also, on ND's LSAC page there is a picture of a bunch of guys in red suits marching ... wtf is that?

Those are guys in red suits are from England - I think they are trying to advertise their London Program. :)

I don't think it will make any difference at all.  Don't worry about it.
