Reviews, Visits, and Rankings / Re: Class of 2010 New Median Numbers
« on: August 23, 2007, 05:32:04 PM »
Tourguide at Vandy said their new median will be a 167.

But your school is Columbia, right?

I think that was 172.

General board for soon-to-be 1Ls / Re: Why me?

Why would someone . . . give a flying sh*t about whether or not someone "throws away" their life?

What an immature and selfish person you are.

Better to be selfish, or selfless?

Huh?  What did I do?  I thought the pink bike and helmet sounded like a tempting offer.

People seem so hostile lately.

I haven't spoken at all in LM yet.

Talking to some, ahem, older students, most of them say something like, there's no way I could have done this at 21, etc.  For them taking time off was probably a good idea.  To each his own.   :)

I'm trying not to take Legal Methods too seriously, but it's a lot of reading (compared to undergrad), and I feel like I have to do it all!  (I have Ginsburg).

Supposedly Barzini had some other issues; I wouldn't use him as an example.  I had good numbers; they put me around the 50th percentile LSAT and 75th for GPA at CLS, I think.  Plus I'm very charming, or so the CLS women tell me.

I was 20 when I was applying, and I go to Columbia now.

 :P

Having a good time, too.   :)

Anyway, to the OP: your age doesn't matter.  Apply now if you really want to, but know that your chances would be better if you waited a few years since your low GPA would become less relevant in the adcoms' minds.  Get a high enough LSAT score, and anything is possible.

Will I ever see you in New York?

i'm looking right at you as we speak.

A five-foot tall Asian guy in a suit just asked me where he could find a free bus to upstate New York.  Was that you?
