I'm starting at Rutgers-Newark this fall. I have a very good feeling about it. Yes, it's in Newark, but it's also a commuter school. You just need to park in the garage, walk to class, then walk back. Nobody will send you wandering the streets of Newark...
As far as other things go - it's relatively cheap. I know that I will appreciate not having the obnoxious debt. I am also looking for practical experience, and Rutgers offers that. I also want to study abroad, and Rutgers offers that as well. And most importantly, although people always find something to complain about, I heard a lot of positive feedback about the professors, and that speaks volumes to me!
I'm pretty excited! :)

I actually think I saw Starbucks on Broad street... fairly close to the school. Maybe I'm wrong - but I'm pretty sure I saw it. Is there a Starbucks locater? :)))

Personally, I have never seen anything worse than Newark. Honestly. (Although there are many buildings with really nice architecture; I haven't seen anything similar in the States yet).
I like that the law school building is nice. Trying to focus on the positive aspects at this point. Too tired of worrying about Newark.

... and that's the great thing about RU-N. The fact that it's in Newark tends to urge people to research the school itself. I have spoken with quite a few people who attended it, and they had nothing negative to say about it except for "don't venture too much out into Newark"...

I am really happy with my decision - no "buyer's remorse" for me :)
