General Off-Topic Board / Furnished Housing For Rent - DC
« on: January 29, 2011, 09:32:18 PM »
Hi Everyone,

For those of you who are headed to Georgetown or GW, there are two furnished units available for rent as soon as April and/or September. Our places won't be available for a while, but we would like to have long-term renters, and I'm just posting this in case someone is looking for housing in DC anytime this year. I've also included links to Georgetown Law Center's housing page with market rent information.

Please feel free to email/message me if you're interested in any of the units. I came to DC after law school, and can also provide general info about living in DC.

Large 1-Bedroom Unit With Balcony - Furnished with luxurious queen platform Serta bed, large walk-in closet, dining room set, flat screen TV, Sofa, DVD player, work desk. The building was built in 2006 (all furnishings were purchased in Summer 2010) and boasts an indoor pool and full gym. We're centrally located across the street from the Navy Yard metro on the green line, and within a 7-10 minute walk from Capitol Hill and Eastern Market. We're also 5-minutes away from Nationals Ballpark.

Here's a link to our building and the 1-bedroom floor plan:

Rent includes electricity, gas, local phone/fax, water, and high speed DSL/wireless internet. Even cutlery and plates are included. The unit also has its own stacked washer/dryer. The full sized kitchen has a refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, full oven.

Rent is $2095 flat with all the above included in the rent. No need to buy new furniture and set up utilities when you move to DC. If you have never lived in DC before, you'll learn to appreciate our proximity to the metro and the rest of the city. The unit is currently owner-occupied, but we would like a reliable tenant who can stay for more than a year. This unit will be available in April, 2010.

Georgetown Law Center's housing guide currently estimates 1-bedroom market rents in the area to be around $2200 without utilities, furnishings, etc:
