Speaking frankly, your prospects aren't good.

What exactly does that mean? $40K a year? $80K a year?

What happens to people who wind up in the bottom 25% of the class?

I am a Native American (Blackfoot tribe). I have a 162 and a 167 LSAT score. I have a 3.17 GPA. I have a strong upward trend in my grades. I taught abroad on a volunteer-basis for a year. I worked as a paralegal for 3 months before getting laid off. I am now just taking time to apply to law school.

My diversity statement is on socioeconomic adversity and my personal statement is about my experience teaching abroad.

Thank you to everyone for their help.

Make sure to shoot an application to UM.

Why UM in particular?

I am wondering whether to apply to Georgetown PT or FT. I am also wondering whether to apply to Fordham PT or FT. I am wondering where I have a good shot and where I have a decent shot. I checked LSN, but it's tough for splitters and I imagine it's tough for Native Americans.

Thank you to everyone for their help.

Do they reject people off the waitlist or are they just waitlisted indefinitely?

Law School Applications / Re: waiting for columbia

Still on hold.  They lost my Dean's Cert until March, so I didn't go complete until then, and then got a hold notice in late March.

They never found one of my Dean's Certs, and last week I got a snippy "guess you've made other plans" rejection letter.  Great policy, Columbia.

You should really contact them about this. With your numbers, it seems like you really have a good shot at CLS.

Got the waitlist last Wednesday and withdrew today. I'd rather have money at my T10 than be able to drop the H-bomb. Prestige is nice, but practicality is nicer.

That thread really resonates with me.

Nope.
