No deferral e-mail here.
I'm officially dinged then. Harvard, please have the decency to send me that oh so classy e-mail soon.

I just passed 3 months with no contact.  Advice?

I'm approaching that same benchmark.
I wish they'd just reject me already.

Applied early november, e-mailed to say dean's cert would be late since I'm abroad, they said they'd consider me without it and I'm STILL not complete

You know, if I'm going to get dinged, I'd like to have the masochistic pleasure of actually seeing and opening the thin envelope. Did hold e-mails already go out? Because if they did, I'm doomed :/

That's great news!  Are you international?  I thought UPenn was doing phone acceptances.

Yeah, I'm international. It's finny because it wasn't really an acceptance e-mail, it had the admitted student website info and it said that I should have gotten a phone call or letter by now but that if I hadn't that they hoped that this e-mail would make my weekend

I won't be able to attend any ASW so I need all the dirt I can get from current students/people going to the ASWs

They're not even wasting a stamp and an envelope?

Real classy, Harvard, real classy.

I didn't retake, I'm just doing a grad program above. The only thing I really changed was application date and the results have been DRAMATICALLY different. Last cycle, Michigan dinged me and NYU waitlisted me, now I'm in at both. Personal statements, recs, everything is the same as last cycle, which goes to show that timing really does make a difference.

that's incredible.  i was just reading a segment on the Penn website that said that reapplicants would not be accepted unless something dramatically different changed.  what a success story! :)

what kind of grad program is it?  do you think there's any way that could have tipped the scales?

It's a one year MA in Spain, I actually didn't apply to Penn last year so that rule wouldn't apply in this case.
