I agree with everything Bigs has said. I have actually decided to put off law school for a little while even though I already took the lsat because I received a job offer for a Big4 accounting firm. I am hoping I made the right choice.

My law advisor told me that going to McGeorge puts you in a much better position for a job than GGU when comparing for example, two students with similar class standing. Do you agree with that? Would a firm choose a McGeorge candidate over a GGU candidate if they have similar class standing? 3

Ya, my concern isn't whether it will be hard or whether the hours will be long. My concern is simply if it is even possible. I am not afraid of working hard or not even having a social life for a bit. I'm willing to make all the sacrifices. Im just wondering if it's even possible.

With a 140 LSAT I don't think you would be able to get into any ABA law schools at all. I don't mean to be discouraging but that is very very low. I would retake the LSAT if you really want to go to law school. The point of the LSAT is for them to see if you can handle the material that law school throws at you. With a 140 LSAT I can almost guarantee there wouldn't be a single ABA school that would accept you no matter how diverse your background is. Retake the LSAT!

Hello,
I am kind of in a dillemma here. I spent alot of money and effort studying for the LSAT and got a 158 and have a 3.44 gpa. Those numbers are good for the schools that I am applying to and will probably get accepted to all of them. My dilemma is that I am an accounting major and am interviewing with CPA firms such as PriceWaterhouse next week. I really want to go to law school but also want to work for a very good firm such as PriceWaterhouse but the auditor job is so demanding in terms of hours. I am wondering if there are any CPA's and/or accounting majors out there that have gone to law school part time and have worked for a CPA firm. I am wondering if it is possible because I know that law school is very demanding. Please give me some advice on my issue... Thanks... 10

Hey everyone,
I have a 3.44 gpa and got 158 on my LSAT. What are my chances for McGeorge school of law? I would really appreciate the advice. I also am applying to golden gate university. I don't want to leave the state. If I apply to a less competitive school like Golden Gate Law School, do you think I would get a nice scholarship? Thanks
