What do you do when your signifigant other feels like you dont have time for them anymore?

Tell the person they better get used to it because you're about to be a full-time law student and will have even less time to spare.

LOL. I told her that trying to be honest and I have been saying it since we first started talking. Now its seven months and its time for me to get into it and I dont know how she feels/ She feels like she is being brushed off to the side/ I cant expect her to be happy like this. The crazy thing is she just took the LSAT.

Tell her to enjoy the ride or get out.  It's only been 7 months.  You'll get over it.

LOL!!

I'm a little scorned at the moment so you may not want to take my advice though.

Maybe you two should get together.

i don't really understand. why is saying going to law school in new york will be a distraction mean that he's trying to hold you back? from the way you told the story it sounds like he's saying going to law school in new york will lead to you dropping out b/c of all the distractions--that just seems to speak of someone who isn't motivated themselves.

He's a freaking HATER is all.  Did I mention that originally I am from NY?  The lights didn't distract me then.  It's more like a been there done that with me and NY and he knows this.

He's a loser and I deleted the number!!!

You go girl!

I'm torn. I think a lot of it has to do with an improper understanding of what it takes to be considered qualified.

Thanks for posting Sands.  The light brotha isn't cut slack anywhere.

Unfortunately we as a people have crab mentality.  We are quick to pull each other down when we see one of us achieving success.  The green eyed monster is quite strong and powerful -- think Anakin Skywalker and look where that got him.  But no matter what the Jedi will survive.

Did the sistah make any comments when you let it be know that you were an attorney and not a paralegal?

While crab mentality is often present, it probably wouldn't have been very funny if he called Sands a partner, or the attorney general. Humor, black or otherwise, is at its best when destructive, imo.

good point.

which is why I figured he moved on to the other table to talk about somebody with more material.  Like, man this cat is just an old boring straight shooter, nothing funny here.  Moving on...

but not even trippin off the comedian, he had a job to do.  its those sisters who had me trippin. I felt like I had to say "yes, black people can be lawyers.  You ain't know?"

You can get the last laugh as you pass their handcuffed brothers and boyfriends whenever you visit the courthouse :)

j/k

GJ:  Didn't Chef have his brain scrambled by the "fruity" group?

Pretty much. He met an unpleasant end :(

It not that bad. Go out and have a good time. Have a drink for me :)

Lol, I wish.  ;D But I don't think the bosses would like that too much.

No one notices when I come back from the bar after breakfast *hic* or lunch  ;D
