2nd semester grades don't come out until June. Should those of us thinking about transferring send in the applications before the second semester grades even come out? I would think it'd be better to send everything at once, but maybe I'm wrong.

Transferring / 40's to Columbia, NYU, Fordham?« on: February 28, 2009, 05:47:21 PM »
I'm top 15 percent at a low 40's school. I want to live and work in New York City. I'm trying to do even better this semester so I could at least be competitive for applying to Columbia and NYU. My main question is: if I don't get into those schools but I get into Fordham, would Fordham be worth it? I like my current school a lot, but I feel it might put me at a disadvantage when applying to NY firms, etc. Also, when should I start asking profs for LoRs and start really looking into the application process? Any advice would be great.
