I recently decided to apply to Columbia ED
LSAT: 176
GPA: 3.47
Major: Math
Based on Law School Numbers I feel like I would have a great shot, but I'm graduating a year early and still have my last year left, meaning admissions officers will only see 2 years of grades. I know this is a negative, but not sure how much. If I don't get in this year I will reapply next year and have a higher gpa (3.6ish) but I figure it doesn't hurt to try now if I have a decent shot.
So, chances?

Hmm, okay thanks for the feedback.
Yeah I had to guess on Columbia because no one with 176 and 3.45-3.53. But I see my gpa is around the gpa that they waitlist regardless of the score you get on the LSAT.
So this would be more accurate?
Harvard - Rejection
Columbia - 30/70 In/WL
NYU - In
Chicago - 50/50 In/WL
Cornell - In
UCLA - In
USC - In

Also, just looked at UVA on law school numbers. What's up with that? It seems like around 170-172 with a good enough gpa you are in. But with a higher LSAT score almost everyone is waitlisted. Can someone explain this?

Just got my lsat score.
GPA: 3.47 (I got an NP in a class this quarter so it brought it down from a 3.62 to a 3.47)
LSAT: 176
Major: Mathematics
No impressive softs
Here's a list of the schools I want to apply to and based on my research, what will happen:
Harvard - 50/50 WL/Rejection
Columbia - 50/50 In/WL
NYU - In
Chicago - In
Cornell - In
UCLA - In
USC - In
Is that a pretty likely prediction?
Now, if Harvard does waitlist me, and I manage a 4.0 fall quarter (bringing my gpa to a 3.55) is there even a slight chance they will accept?
Lastly, I've read that sometimes you can haggle with admissions for financial aid based on what other schools give you. Is it worth it to then apply to schools I have no interest in attending (such as UVA/Michigan)?
In case you see a similar post on TLS, it's me. Trying to get as much feedback as possible.

worst case:
LR -4

-15 for a 165/166
probably going to end up with a 170-171, but hoping for the higher end of my min/max scale

okay i don't really understand what was so hard about it (the 3rd game). i mean, it did take me more time than usual, but the first 2 were so easy you had plenty of extra time.

no you guys who think experimental couldn't have been after 3rd section were wrong. But that doesn't mean everyone had theirs after the 3rd. Mine was the 3rd section. But you COULD have had an experimental after the 3rd section this year, is all I am saying (and someone I knew did).
There was a 26 question section, a 25 question section (both LR), a 23 question (game), and a 27 question section (RC). 101 questions total.

so i think the experimental being in the first 3 sections is wrong this year.
my friend had 2 games. i had 1. the game we both had was not the one he had in the first 3 sections.
