Transferring / PT friendly schools?
« on: October 07, 2009, 02:05:58 AM »
I am a 1L in a PT evening program at a T1 school and am very interested in transferring to a higher ranked school at the end of this year, pending my grades obviously. My top choices are USC, WUSTL, and Tulane, but I am willing to consider other schools. Does anyone know if being in an evening program will hurt my chances at transferring or if I still have a shot? Any schools out there that are evening program friends in evaluating transfer applications?

Thanks!

Ideally the NCAA side, but obviously that is only possible after putting in a few years with individual schools or some other relevant experience. Any internships within a school's athletic dept. while someone is in law school?

I have already done the pro sports internships/paid positions, and am actually looking more towards NCAA positions. Is this any less competetive? I have had some experience with PR for some big name stars who have had run-ins and in NO way want to be an agent! Best of luck to those who do....you'll need it.

How helpful is a certificate in sports law? Currently only a few (USC, Tulane, Marquette) schools offer this cert... is it worth going to one of these schools specifically for the cert. if you otherwise would not enroll there? Any insight is appreciated. Thanks!
