I've been complete since 11.13 - still no decision.  Maybe they're just a little slow in Philly.

Law School Applications / Weird email from UConn
« on: November 19, 2008, 03:36:08 PM »
Anyone else get this or something like it?

"Dear Applicant:

In accordance with Section 504(a) of the American Bar Association's "Standards for Approval of Law Schools" (http://www.abanet.org/legaled/standards.html), applicants to the Law School should understand that there are character, fitness and other qualifications for admission to the bar.  Applicants are therefore encouraged, prior to matriculation, to determine what those requirements are in the state(s) in which the applicant intends to practice.

Additional information is available at the Web site of the National Conference of Bar Examiners (http://www.ncbex.org/character-and-fitness/services1/).  Please also review the "Admission to the Bar" section of the Student Handbook (http://www.law.uconn.edu/students/handbook/professional.html).

Your interest in the University of Connecticut School of Law is appreciated."

Just curious...I had a little 'splaining to do regarding an underage possession of alcohol arrest and academic probation from my first University.  Is this email a signal of UConn's disapproval, or just a standard email?

Is it unwise to submit applications before LORs are received/processed by LSAC?

Thanks.
