What are your thoughts on Kansas versus Nebraska? Is one significantly better than the other from what you hear? What do you think of Dean Agrawal? Are you planning on staying in KS? Thanks!

Matthies: I could not agree more :-)

Ninja: Yes, and I am out of state which makes not getting even WL at Colorado so surprising given that I am on several other wait lists around UNC and Colorado's rank.

Matthies: I spoke to someone on Thursday who said they would find out and call later Thur, although I did not hear back and am planning on calling again on Monday.

Choosing the Right Law School / Lewis and Clark, Maine, UNC

In at L&C, Maine and UNC (all at equal expense), although interested in the mountain west or new england regions. Maine and Lewis and Clark do not seem to travel well outside their respective states. Any reason to choose L&C or Maine over UNC?

Anyone else still waiting on the University of Denver? I applied in October and went complete in December.

Law School Admissions / Thoughts on the University of Maine?
« on: January 31, 2009, 08:48:09 AM »
Does anyone have thoughts on the University of Maine? I've been offered a decent scholarship and get a community type feeling from them, however have undergrad debt and am kind of concerned about regionality, isolation, job prospects in Portland and high taxes. I'm waitlisted at a t14 and a t25 however with no man's land in between strangely. I'm also not a URM.

Thanks for taking questions. What are your thoughts on getting off of the waitlist? Do you know anyone personally who was WL before being admitted?

My application is already complete at several law schools, and I just received notification that I will be awarded a well known and well regarded scholarship next spring for my 1L year from a national public interest organization which specifically highlighted my commitment to an area of public service I have been heavily involved in.

Should I notify law schools of this (or will this be redundant)? If so, what is the best method of notifying law schools of this additional award, particularly when my application is already complete.
