TLS has an up-to-date search feature, though.  If I search on LSD I get great stuff... from 2004.  It seems like people post less on LSD too... I check out this Exile thread often - everyone who posts here seems cool, nice, informative, and funny... but I can't keep up with all the goings on.  Lots 'o name changes...

Tim Mitchell - are you Tim Mitchell on TLS?

Law School Applications / Re: Why asking "Have u applied a prior year"
« on: March 27, 2009, 07:31:59 PM »
The dean of admissions at UIUC is posting/answering questions on TLS.  He was asked about previous applications and said he didn't look at the old one; however, that's obviously not necessarily representative.  I assume that if an adcomm looked at a previous application they would want to make sure it wasn't simply a "resend" with no new info (ie: LSAT score) or new essays...

I like this idea for a thread (and hope to be able to add to it :P), especially because this seems like an odd cycle in general...

That is odd.  Something smells of the downstate NY, LI, NJ area...

I don't know the point of origination for "pants," but I liked it immediately upon reading it... and I'm from Long Island.  You've got a knack, Como.

Where should I go next fall? / Re: 2009 crazy admissions cycle
« on: February 17, 2009, 06:42:29 PM »
It certainly could be more competitive, or it could be that the number of applicants is down, but the the number of applications is up - less people applying to more schools.  More people being waitlisted could be a result of yield protection.  But who knows?  It's all speculation.

What are your numbers if you don't mind sharing?
