Oo, the tension mounts. Any word on how the decisions will be sent? I got the impression that snail mail would be used.

While stalking the various forums, I've encountered the idea of expressing a willingness to defer admission for a year while on waitlist. Some have thereafter been offered admisssion for the Class of 2012 instead of 2011 by taking this avenue. Does anyone know how to broach this subject with AdCom? I know U Michigan has a formal policy on this but do other schools?
Haven't heard anything directly yet, but, when I called the Admissions Office today I was told that there is currently no real time frame as to when more offers will go out (all depends on who withdraws). I was told that the waitlist has been drastically shortened. I'm assuming this means that GW has already sent out acceptances and rejections to those on the pre-shortened waitlist and those who have heard nothing yet are on the extended summer waitlist that can go on until the first day of class. Could be wrong but that's the impression I got...
I spoke with someone on the admissions committee and he stated that they would begin looking over WL candidates later this month and that the first round of decisions will be sent out early June. After the first round WL candidates will be accepted, rejected, or asked if they want to remain on the presumably shorter WL. I hear that this business of getting waitlisted onto another WL takes place all summer long. Officially they have a first, second and third 'Reserve Group'. The first is the one we are currently on and if you're asked after this round if you want to remain on the WL you say yes, you will then become a part of the second Reserve Group.
Hope this helps. Any idea how large the WL is??
My application has been put on hold at Northwestern and I will be interviewing there soon. Has anyone else interviewed with a member of the admissions committee? What types of questions are asked? Helpful hints?
Any input is appreciated.
