I am a current 1L. Rent is cheapest in Oakland, but you DO NOT want to live there. Live in Shadyside---nearly all of your classmates will. It is also where most people hang out on weekends or in coffee shops to study. Franklin West and Mozart Management are two really good property companies.
sorry---that sounded quite sexual. What I meant to convey is that Pitt takes students off of the waitlist all the way up until classes start. I do not know for sure when they start going to the waitlist---I am sure after the deposit deadline.
hey, guys--i just wanted to let you all know in case you don't already that some law students have organized a get-together at the William Penn Tavern in Shadyside for Sunday the 20th at 9 o'clock. There has also been various Pitt law class of 2009 and section facebook groups created at Facebook. Lastly, I am meeting up with a few people at the PGH Deli at 6 on Wednesday for dinner and drinks--and you are invited if you would like to come.
