Thanks for the replies.  How much studying did everyone do for the GRE?

Anyone who has taken both - how do they compare?

The summer after my first year I took a few classes and did a judicial externship through my school's externship program.  I was able to get experience, pay my living expenses with student loans (had to take at least 4 credit hours to be eligible), and get some classes out of the way, which made my 2L schedule a little more flexible.

What I meant, in case what I said sounded like an up-front fee, is that Amazon takes a % of your profit.

I don't remember the exact way that Amazon does it, but they do charge a small fee.  I think it is a percentage of the price that you sell your book for.

I use Amazon.

I took 3 classes and did a judicial externship at municipal court.  Since I took classes I was able to get financial aid to cover my living expenses for the summer.  The classes I took didn't really take much time.  1 was in an intensive, week-long format.  Another was only 6 weeks long.  The 3rd was just a short class that went along with the externship and only met about 5 times for a 1/2 hour or less.  Another plus to taking the summer classes is that I've been able to take less classes each semester of this year.  A friend of mine who also did summer school has continued to take the full load of classes this year and will have a very easy 3rd year.  My 3rd year will also be pretty light, but I will still have to take a few bar classes.

At my school you can write your exam in a bluebook or use a computer program like your girlfriend's school.  I think most schools have similar policies.
