Current Law Students / 3.3 on 3.0 curve?
« on: January 21, 2008, 08:07:41 AM »
I'm looking at a 3.3 on a 3.0 curve, with one two credit class unreported so far. Is that in the top 3rd?

I got a B- on my first draft, then got a C on the final draft because I hadn't done as much rewriting as my classmates.  The fact is that not everyone can get bumped up and others get bumped down.  I just didn't put in work, but you did and clearly missed some things that you needed to do that at least some of your classmates with a lower grade on the first draft discovered.  Try to meet with your prof and get some insight into the process.  Good luck.

During the semester, I read the cases and took illegible notes in the margins, putting in 2-3 hours a night max.  During finals week, I decided to get serious I studied 4-5 hours reviewing my highlighted text, notes and student bar outlines the day before each exam, then got drunk because all of my tests were in the afternoon.  I have most definitely put in less work than anyone else in my gunner section.  You're not a slacker, I am.

Current Law Students / Re: Do u get called on once or more than once???

Every single time I got called on in class, I got PWNED because I wasn't paying any attention.  Several times I bet I got called on because it was clear that I was the only kid playing online poker, slouched in the back row.  Plus I don't brief.

Current Law Students / Re: What do PDs and Prosecutors do after?

I know several former prosecutors who specialize in matrimonial law exclusively.  Others have become judges eventually.  So you won't be too limited.

I was already apathetic, but I think you care more, so you should picture how you'd feel getting abysmal grades this May each time you start to procrastinate.
