From what I know, the headquarters got 1,600 apps for the summer program.  Not sure if it counts MBAs or undergrads.

Would you guys take SEC or firm job (in a secondary market for instance)?

definitely SEC! (i'm going to be working at the headquarters)
Which regional office are you going to be at?
one warning though: i've heard from people who have worked at regional offices and also people who have worked in DC...seems like people who worked in DC had a much better experience than those who worked at the field offices....

having that said, i still think SEC is a better option for yourself.

But then on the same note, if the 1L firm offers you a permanent job offer, then you're pretty much set and you won't have to worry about OCI/grades etc. as much.

Job Search / JD student seeking to work this summer at a British firm
« on: November 05, 2006, 04:08:19 PM »
It seems to me that most British firms have "vacation schemes" (four weeks) program where students from the commonwealth countries could participate in.    Do they not allow US JD students  to join the program?  Does anyone have experience with this?  Thanks!
