I am realize that Tuoro offers a quality education and that Hofstra is not to be confused with Harvard. Regardless of these facts, Hofstra will provide many more opportunities.

The legal industry is governed by an unoffcial caste system. This system is based on school rank and then class rank.
Unfortunately Touro occupies the systems' lowest level. I realize that this is not fair and actually hypocritical for a discipline that considers itself to be the ideological gate keepers of our society.

The bottom line is, fair our not we don't make the rules. So go wherever you will be provided with greater opportunties. The profession is competitive, so don't accept a handicap if you don't have to.

Ignorant brats make the majority of these posts; they simply regurgitate what they heard while hanging out at Starbucks.

I realize "big law" implements an unofficial caste system. The foundation of this system is law school rankings and class rank. Regardless of this fact, I know many successful attorneys that attended tier 3 and 4 law schools. I define success based on income and these individuals are easily making over 300k a year. Anyone who completes a J.D. program and passes the bar exam is empowered with enormous knowledge and credibility. This gives them a competitive advantage over the majority of society. Therefore, if an attorney is not successful, its not because their school sucked its because they don't have what it takes.

If you are going to be a lawyer start thinking for yourself. Don't fall into the trap of thinking the only way you can make money is by working for a big firm. Otherwise, you will be nothing more then a robot and robots are not good lawyers.

Congrats on your acceptance
I will be going to Hofstra as well. I was offered a substantial scholarship. Therefore; I choose Hofstra over St. Johns and Brooklyn. I am from the area and I have noticed that Hofstra University is very agressive with their marketing and promotional campaigns. They also offer very generous scholarships to applicants with above average LSAT scores. I beleive this strategy will payoff over time and we will see the school climb in the rankings.
