No, I didn't sit in a class. All of the students seemed nice enough. I talked quite a bit with the director of the career center. He seemed to be very knowledgeable and helpful. Have you visited there? The building is pretty impressive and fairly new. All classes are there as well as offices and the library.

Anyone hear about scholarships from MSU? I think they said they would let us know by 2/15. Also, does anyone know how Toledo compares to MSU? I noticed that a significantly lower number of firms recruit at UT than at MSU (according to NALP). I was under the impression that they were similarly ranked schools.

Not sure if this would be any help but I worked at Sidley's Chicago office for 2 years during undergrad. Obviously I don't have any advice to offer as far as the interview goes. But I really enjoyed my time there and everyone seemed to be very happy to work at Sidley. I was surprised to later read so much negativity towards firms that size. I always felt that I was treated well even as a lowly runner/clerk. Any questions about that office I will definitely try to answer.

I think you and I are in a similar situation. I've been accepted to MSU and am waiting on Wayne, UT etc. I really like the campus and the idea of going to school in East Lansing as opposed to Detroit or Toledo. The only reason I am hesitant is their reputation(maybe the price tag too). But, like you said, everyone seems to think that their reputation is on the way up.
My visit sounds similar to yours...I really could not find anything I disliked about the school. I'm guessing that you too are waiting on scholarship info. I talked to an admission's counselor and he kind of hinted that info would be sent before 2/15. For me, it would be difficult to justify paying private school tuition at MSU if I get into Wayne.
